At the start of the school year, sign up to receive college reminders via text by going to cfwv.com or by texting “CFWV” to 304-912-CFWV(2398). Students ask college-related questions via text and college access advisors will respond. Opting out will forfeit 21st Century Scholars eligibility.

To qualify for financial aid, you must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA). The FASFA is the most important step you will take towards meeting your postsecondary goals because all federal financial aid programs, most programs offered by the state of West Virginia, and many programs offered by colleges requires you to submit the FASFA. The FASFA is free and easy to fill out! You could file the FASFA for the 2025-2026 academic school year by visiting studentaid.gov/FASFA
