Applying for the HEAPS Grant

To apply for the HEAPS Grant, you must first complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which becomes available October 1 each year, then contact your institution’s financial aid office for the HEAPS Grant application and other requirement information.

Both the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 FAFSA forms are currently available.

Check with the institutional financial aid office now for 2024-2025 eligibility. Consideration for 2025-2026 eligibility begins in August 2025.
