The SAT is designed to assess your academic readiness for college. Many colleges require your scores as part of your application. Union Test Prep

The Accuplacer is a college placement test used by over 2,000 colleges as part of their enrollment process. It identifies strengths as well as weaknesses in a variety of subject areas. Schools use the results of the test to place you in courses that are appropriate to your skills and knowledge.

The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a series of multiple-choice tests that measure your aptitudes. It helps both you and the military determine your suitability for a military career and also helps determine which military careers suit you the best.

The PSAT/NMSQT and PSAT 10 are the same test and measure reading, writing and language, and math skills. They’re good practice for the SAT – or the ACT – but more importantly the PSAT/NMSQT can help you get a National Merit Scholarship or other awards. The PSAT 10 is taken by 10th grade students while the PSAT/NMSQT can be taken by both 10th and 11th grade students.

The GED, HiSET test and the TASC are all what is known as high school equivalency exams. Adults who left school without graduating can take any one of the tests to demonstrate they have the same knowledge and skills as a high school graduate.
