How to Apply

To apply, you must complete the STAND Application every academic year you want to be considered for funds.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis beginning July 1 each year.

To apply, you must log into your WVSAM* account by clicking the link below then entering your username and password. Once logged in, scroll down to My Applications and click new to select and start your application.

After Completing the STAND Application
  • If you have completed an apprenticeship or are currently a journey worker, keep checking your email for a request from noreply@airslate.com to upload a copy of your Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship issued by the U.S. Department of Labor.
  • If you are currently an apprentice, we will reach out to your local union listed on your application to confirm enrollment in the apprenticeship. If you do not list your union, you are ineligible.

*If you do not have a WVSAM Account, you will need to create one. After creating the account, you will be sent an email (may be in your junk/spam) with a link to create your password then to log in. Once logged in, navigate to the My Applications section, click New and select STAND then hit Next to start the application.
