WV Nursing Scholarship Program
About the Program
The West Virginia Nursing Scholarship program is for LPN, RN, LPN teaching certificate, and master’s or doctoral nursing education students. In exchange for receiving the scholarship, participants agree to complete a service obligation in West Virginia.
Award amounts vary each year based on the availability of funds and may be less than the maximum amount established in W.Va. State Code.
How to Apply
Applications are accepted each award year from April 15th through June 1st through your WVSAM account. LPN and Pre-RN licensure students who anticipate reaching their nursing midpoint date during the subsequent academic year should apply during the open award cycle. Post-RN licensure students and graduate nursing students are welcome to apply at any point during their education. See How It Works for more details on eligibility requirements.
